Role: Designer and Subject
This project is a data visualization based on a number of different types of data I collected about myself. The topics are; How frequently I played video games, How often my cat brought me his favorite toy (which only lasted a few days as I needed to sleep without a cat clawing at my face), and How many shiny Pokemon I caught that week analyzing the data of each individual. The main point was to design different methods of visualizing each set of data.
The first is a radial diagram showing:
-the game played,
-what time I played
-how much enjoyment I got from playing (on a scale of 1-5)
-what day I played.
The second is a diagram shows:
-how aggressive my cat was about his toy
-where he brought it to me
-what day it was
-what emotion I felt
-how long he bugged me about it
-how he brought it over (as in how he showed me the stick, he might bite me or just drop it at my feet)
-if I put it away or brought it out around the time he brought it
-whether or not I played with him
the third diagram is a modified stacked bar chart with a seperate key showing:
-what pokemon I caught
-what level the pokemon was at (range)
-what stage it is at in its evolution (1st 2nd or 3rd)
-what type/types it was
-what day I caught it
-if I boosted my odds with a sandwich (a game mechanic that increases spawn rates and shiny rates)
-my opinion on the pokemon
-if something special happened (failed to catch it, or traded it to a friend)
