Role: Designer
This project was an app design concept created to teach new players the mechanics of Pokemon with a focus on the competitive scene (VGC). I began this project by developing personas of my primary and secondary personas. from there I mapped out the experience someone would have as my target audience using the app. From there I could easily re-work problem areas and make the whole experience more streamlined. After that it took a long while (over 2 months!) to create the basis of the app. But I ran into a major issue... the background I designed used a pattern designed in illustrator, but the file was far too large and I ran out of data space in Figma. So I had to go back over the next month and again, re-work the entire design. Thankfully, the new version was way more clean and worked so much better than the intricate design I started with. After designing the app itself, I developed a tie-in watch app as well to get information on the go. This was one of my favorite projects I have ever made!
